Great for a start

Great for a beginning of a track but hopefully once you find a vocalist it can bring out something more in this song. Overall it's got a good verse/chorus/verse structure but I would try to add a little more in terms of instruments break out of the repetition a littlbe bit. Keep up the good work!

Calming and Just What I Needed

Life's been stressful lately and this song is extremely calming and relaxing on my mind. Some of the levels could be better especially on the bell riff after the opening pads. I feel like it "stands out" a bit too much but honestly it doesn't detract from the song at all. Just minor nitpicking! Anyway great song, 5/5 and 10/10.

I still have mastering issues. It's hard to balance everything. -KN

Words Can't Express

Everyone at VNSTUDIOS wish you the best in dealing with your father's passing, death is one of the greatest griefs in life, but as you show with this song, it must be dealt with and eventually we can overcome it. The song has a good melody, which conveys the sense of sadness but views it with a more optimistic perspective rather than darkness and despair. Music is a great way to channel emotion, it's what drives our creativity and inspiration. Words can't express the tragedy of losing someone so close, leaving it up to sounds to portray the feelings. Best of luck to you and your family Durn, and here's to hoping for a great New Year for all of you,

Thanks gang. :) I've always tried to hold onto the feeling of hope no matter how crazy life gets. Glad it was conveyed through my melodies. :)

Awesome song

It does actually remind me alot of 28 days later. I just love that simple guitar intro. It sounds great. This would work great in some film. 10/10, 5/5

awesome glad you liked the guitar :)

Groove

The bass groove and different instruments make this a chill piece to have in the background, but as the previous reviewer stated the beat gets on the repetitive side after awhile, which isn't a bad thing since it is laid-back. But as always keep it up 'cuz you're doing a great job!

durn responds:

thanks a lot, man. :) btw, your collection of guitar pedals looks insane. lol. send me the link whenever you get done with your new tune. :)

Good, But Repetitive

Not bad for a video game song, I can see this in the background of a puzzle game or maybe for a cut scene. Try changing up the chord progression around a bit maybe like making a refrain of some sorts would break up the cycle a bit. But overall good work!

T-Free responds:

Thanks, I might upload a new version soon which is less repetitive.^^

Good

I thought the song was good, but I believe it needs more work. The choir was nice, but eventually got annoying when it was dragged out through the entire song. The piano sound was initially good, but was way to repetitive. Throughout the song, I kept thinking something more was coming. Overall, its good, just add a little more to it.

Is no problem, I think I'll accept your feedback for the next time I enhance this to the remix one. ;3 But this is just a repeatable song for minds who need relax.

Anyways, thanks for the comment. ;D

Very Emotional

Beautiful song. It has such a wonderful tune and it really expresses emotions very well. Personally, I don't think a dnb version of the song will be as good as this one.
Anyway, great song!

I won't remake this song - I will leave it the way it is.
Thanks for the review.

Excellent Song!

The transition from the beginning intro to the beat was a little too fast, but great song nonetheless. A very good mix of disco groove with a dash of hip-hop seasoning! [i'm hungry] And also good to hear that you are getting paid to do loops for games, most of us Newgrounders could only dream of making money like that! Good luck to you and we wish for the best!

durn responds:

aye, it was tricky going from 92 to 130bpm and still sounding intact. I automated it faster in the last bar hoping to avoid too much distortion but you caught it! yar! ;)

it must be the zipper synth I use for my highs that has everyone feeling the hip hop groove from this. it's actually supposed to be a bass synth but I just loved the siney whine of it up in the higher octaves.

thanks for listening! :) glad you enjoyed.

Really Good

The song was very enjoyable and the tune sounded great. I did feel the song was way too short and even though it was just an opening scene, the song needed some sense of completion. The ending was too abrupt, so I suggest making it loopable or end it slowly if you don't want to lengthen it. Other than that it's a great song.
